1. Daily Maintenance: Performed by: Operator at end of every shift
|
Task |
Description |
Purpose |
|
Clean coating head & tank |
Remove residual adhesive from melter, slot die/nozzle, filters & rollers using recommended cleaning tools or solvent. |
Prevent adhesive carbonization & nozzle blockage. |
|
Check temperature readings |
Compare set temperature vs. actual on all zones (tank, hose, die). |
Maintain correct viscosity & coating quality. |
|
Inspect hoses & fittings |
Look for leaks, cracks, or exposed wires. |
Prevent adhesive leakage & safety hazards. |
|
Lubricate moving parts (lightly) |
Apply thin oil film on exposed shafts, guide rods, or chains (if dry). |
Reduce wear & ensure smooth motion. |
|
Check web path alignment |
Verify substrate runs straight through coating head. |
Avoid coating unevenness & web damage. |
|
Record machine log |
Note production run time, grade of adhesive used, temperature, any anomalies. |
Build preventive maintenance history. |
2. Monthly Maintenance: Performed by: Maintenance / Electrical team
